The Mars Hill Blog

Welcome to the Mars Hill Blog. This blog is not for the dim-witted or for people who are sensitive to controversial sentiments. I run this blog as an extension of a ministry I am working on where students live together in a boarding house environment amongst my family and engage with our beliefs as conservative evangelical calvinists. This ministry is called; "The Mars Hill House of Intellectual Discourse," because Mars Hill is where Paul in Acts 17 preached the gospel of Jesus Christ to the intellectuals in athens and engaged with philosophers that opposed him there.

Thus, along with live debate videos done between students, study notes, and movie reviews, this blog will also discuss various topics in contemporary philosophy, especially in the anglo-american analytic tradition. It will also discuss enlightenment thought, reformation and post-reformation thought, as well as various ideas pertaining to debates in the philosophy of religion.
